Skilling Tools & the Forge Ladder

The rule#

Each Olympian skill has an entry tool bought once with Skilling Points from Athena (Skilling Shop), and every rung above it is forged (::forge → Other → Skilling) from the rung below + a stack of what that rung produces + Dracma + Forgemarks. Everything on this page is 100% success. All tools work from the inventory or wielded.

Harpoons - Fishing#

Olympian smithing gloves (60,000 points) is not a rung but is needed to smelt any Olympian bar - buy it with the pickaxe.

Bronze Surveyor Spade (2,500 points) → Cyclopean Iron → Titansteel Excavator → Aetherium Relic Spade → Olympian Godspade. Full table in the Archaeology guide.

Single-rung tools#

Ashfall Tinderbox

Tinderbox + 500 Ichorwood logs + 5M + 2M marks. Instant light, double Firemaking xp, 15% log save. 100 Firemaking.

Silverhawk Boots

500 Agility tickets + 5M + 2M marks. Every obstacle pays five times its xp. 60 Agility.

Magic secateurs

Secateurs + 250 Moly + 2.5M + 1.5M marks. More produce per farming pull.

Scroll of life

250 Ambrosia crystal + 2.5M + 1.5M marks. 1-in-4 seed save on harvest.

Blood Beaver

500 World-tree kindling + 2.5M + 1.5M marks. Doubles kindling from the Aetherheart World Tree.

Efficiency Totem

250 Ichorwood logs + 500k + 250k marks for 500 charges. Each charge banks one gather from any gathering skill.

Aura of the Jack-of-Trades

1,000 Titansteel bars + 100 Ambrosia Heartwood logs + 100 cooked Artemis Moonray + 20M + 5M marks. 25% chance to double any gather, in every gathering skill. The capstone of the whole ladder.

Suggested order#

1. 1
   Hatchet first. 90k points, and Ichorwood logs are the material for the Ashfall Tinderbox, the Efficiency Totem, the Aetherium Crescent and more. Woodcutting is also the friendliest AFK points earner.
2. 2
   Smithing gloves + Hephaestus pickaxe together (150k). Orichalcum bars forge the Olympian pickaxe and the first two spade rungs.
3. 3
   Titanpiercer (120k). Fish are the slowest material to stack because of the 1-in-10 landing roll; start early and cook everything.
4. 4
   Work the three ladders in parallel - each rung's material comes from the rung below, so you are never waiting on something you cannot make.
5. 5
   Aura of the Jack-of-Trades last. It wants the top log, the top fish and a thousand of the top bar, and it makes everything before it 25% faster in hindsight.
