Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Olympus game server, this website, the Olympus Discord server and our Discord application, and the Olympus store. By creating an account, joining the Discord or making a purchase you agree to them. Last updated 20 September 2026.

1. What Olympus is

Olympus is a free-to-play, fan-run private game server. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Jagex Ltd or any of its products. Access to the game, the website and the Discord server is provided as-is, for entertainment, and may be changed, paused or withdrawn at any time.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase. If you are under 18 you may only purchase with the permission of a parent or guardian.
  • One person, one account for the purposes of any competition, vote reward or daily reward. Alternate accounts used to farm rewards may be removed.
  • You are responsible for your password and everything done with your account. Your in-game password is also your website password; keep it private and never share it with anyone, including staff - staff will never ask for it.
  • Account names that are offensive, impersonate staff or impersonate another player may be renamed or removed.

3. Conduct

The rules in game and on Discord are the same. We will remove, mute or ban accounts that:

  • Cheat - including third-party clients, bots, macros, auto-clickers, packet manipulation or any exploit of a bug. If you find a bug, report it to staff; using it is a ban.
  • Scam, phish or deceive other players, or trade Olympus items or accounts for real money outside the official store.
  • Harass, threaten or abuse other players or staff, or post hateful, sexual or illegal content.
  • Advertise other servers or services, or spam.
  • Attempt to disrupt the service (DDoS, flooding, abusing rate limits).

Staff decisions on rule breaches are final. Punishments may include loss of items, ranks or purchases without refund.

4. Store purchases

  • Everything sold in the store is a voluntary donation to support the server in exchange for virtual items, ranks or bonuses that exist only inside Olympus. Virtual items have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may be adjusted, rebalanced, renamed or removed as the game develops.
  • Payments are taken by card through Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
  • Purchases are delivered in game with the ::claim command. If a purchase does not deliver, contact staff on Discord with your username and the time of purchase and it will be delivered manually.
  • All sales are final. Because virtual items are delivered immediately and cannot be returned, we do not offer refunds except where required by law or where an item could not be delivered at all. Filing a chargeback for a delivered purchase will result in the account being suspended until it is resolved.
  • Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time. Ranks are cumulative on the total you have donated.
  • Purchases do not exempt an account from the rules. A banned account does not receive a refund.

5. Discord and the Olympus application

Our Discord server and the Olympus Discord application (bot) let you link your Discord account to your game account, receive in-game bonuses for your Discord roles, and see server announcements, drops and events. By linking, you allow the application to read your Discord user id, username and roles on the Olympus server for that purpose. You can unlink at any time in game or by asking staff. Discord's own Terms of Service also apply.

6. Content and intellectual property

The Olympus name, logo, website, guides, artwork and custom content are ours or used with permission. You may share screenshots and videos of the game freely. You may not copy the website, its data files or the client for another project.

7. Availability and liability

Olympus is provided free of charge and without warranty. We do not guarantee that the game or website will be available, error-free or that your progress will never be lost, though we back up regularly. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of Olympus, and our total liability for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the server develops. The date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be announced on Discord. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
